Letters of Support
The Altadena Town Council regularly issues letters of support, opposition, or comment on matters that affect the Altadena community. These letters provide a formal way for the Council to communicate community priorities, advocate for local needs, and ensure Altadena’s voice is represented in decisions made by County, State, and other governmental agencies.
Letters may address proposed legislation, community projects, funding opportunities, public safety, infrastructure, recovery efforts, land use, and other issues that have a direct impact on Altadena and its residents.

The Altadena Town Council submitted a letter supporting Senator Sasha Renée Pérez’s request for $8 million in state funding to restore the Altadena Crest Trail and Eaton Canyon Natural Area trail network. The funding would help repair extensive damage caused by the Eaton Fire and subsequent storms, including damaged trail segments, erosion, unstable slopes, and drainage infrastructure, while helping create a safer and more resilient trail system for the community.
