Diane Marcussen represents census tract 4613 which is the part of Altadena that actually has a Pasadena address! Many of the residents of 4613 don’t even know they live in Altadena. Her census tract is bordered by Pasadena on three sides and is divided from the rest of Altadena by New York Drive on the north, a bit of an island unto itself. She is dedicated to making sure that residents of census tract 4613 know that despite the Pasadena address, they ARE a part of Altadena

Diane has lived in Altadena for 14 years and is a Project Manager for a large technology company. She is lucky enough to work from home, which makes her census tract her place of work as well as residence. She has served on the ATC Land Use Committee for the last 4 years and was elected to the Town Council in 2010. As an involved citizen who feels compelled to take action, she has successfully worked with the County to clean up derelict properties, have dangerous County trees trimmed, and worked with the CHP to let them know of traffic issues in the area. She has also worked to keep her neighbors informed of actions taken by the Altadena Sheriff’s Station to reduce crime in the area.

As representative of 4613, her plan is to help those in her census tract feel more empowered by providing them a voice with the Altadena Town Council and to help them feel more connected to our charming town.
