Milissa Marona was born in the San Gabriel Valley and has been a resident of the Meadows neighborhood for the past 14 years. She has been married to her husband Jonathan for almost 30 year and is the mother to two grown children.

For her career she has spent the last 20 years either working for the electric utility doing CEQA applications at the CPUC or in the renewable energy sector lobbying utilities and legislators for incentives. She has extensive land use experience as well as creating the opportunities for government agencies to work together for mutually benefitting results.

As a member of Fellowship Monrovia, attending at the satellite campus at John muir High School where she volunteered leading women’s groups and participated in jail ministry to help women in prison. Traveling to Thailand and India to work with women who are stuck in sex trafficking, Milissa believes that educating women is the key to seeing change in that problem.

Local actions are key to bringing changes that are needed to our communities and Milissa is looking forward to assisting her census tract and assisting the residents of Altadena.
